Tarzan and the Mermaids -Cable TV- ***
This exciting 1948 Weissmuller Tarzan flick really showcased the reason I started this little challenge. I recorded this of AMC on a 6 hour VHS tape back before AMC started showing commercials, so this was probably close to a decade ago. Since then I have watched 2 of the 5 Tarzan flicks that this tape held. Now, I can bump that up to 3.
This was a pretty typical 1940s jungle picture with Tarzan trying to protect a girl from a group of natives being led by an evil westerner pretending to be a god.
There are no mermaids in this film.
