MY GOAL IS TO SEE 100 NEW (to me) MOVIES BY OCTOBER 24, 2008

New movies, old movies, made for TV, on dvd, on TV, in a theater... anything. I just want to increase my movie knowledge by 100 movies in 100 days.

Day 90, total films watched: 91

Kit Kittredge: An American Girl - airplane inflight movie- ***
Diminished Capacity -airplane inflight movie- **

I didn't know what to make of either of these films because I had never seen a trailer and I am not even sure I heard of them. Still, very entertaining.
Kit Kittredge: An American Girl was a nice Encyclopedia Brown type story involving a little girl, hobos, the Great Depression and Stanley Tucci looking like The Iron Shiek. The film was sweet, funny and told a compelling story.

Diminished Capacity stars Matthew Broderick as a man suffering from brain damage who goes to see his uncle (Alan Alda) who is suffering from Alzheimers. Oh yeah, it's a comedy.
I didn't realize this for about 25 minutes. It was too silly to be touching and too sad to be really funny.
