MY GOAL IS TO SEE 100 NEW (to me) MOVIES BY OCTOBER 24, 2008

New movies, old movies, made for TV, on dvd, on TV, in a theater... anything. I just want to increase my movie knowledge by 100 movies in 100 days.

Day 81, total films watched: 87

Hancock -airplane inflight movie- ***
Get Smart -airplane inflight movie- **
Meet Dave -airplane inflight movie- ****

Wow, I love the new inflight entertainment systems on Continental Airlines. If I could be promised one of these, I would always fly Continental. Basically it's a personal 'on demand' service where the movie plays on the back of the seat in front of you. First film I watched was Hancock. I loved the first 45 minutes of this film, I hated the last 45. I don't want to spoil it, so I will just say the big reveal about Hancock not being "alone" was stupid. Stupid, unessasary and annoying. Boo!

Get Smart was a film I expected more from. It was entertaining, but not as funny as I would have hoped for.

Meet Dave on the other hand was much more than I expected. Perhaps the fact that this bombed so badly made me have such low expectations that it worked. It was great. Very funny. Basically you have Eddie Murphy playing a cross between Balki on Perfect Strangers and Herman's Head. Funny stuff. Weird ending, but still lots of fun.
