Miracle Mile -Cable TV- ***
Fly Me To The Moon 3D -Movie Theater- ***
Miracle Mile is a cool 1988 thriller about a nuclear attack on Los Angeles. The film is told mostly in real time and has a great ending. I enjoyed it a lot. It's one of those films that is better the less you know about it, so I recommend you see it if you have Starz. It pops up there pretty often.
Let me say this... Fly Me To The Moon 2D wouldn't merit 3 stars, but in 3D... awesome. I am a sucker for 3D films and this was a pretty dang good one. It's a silly little flick with three flies (that act like Alvin & the Chipmunks) who stowaway on the first moon mission.
The film was actually better than I expected, it had some pretty slow pacing which is a big change for a modern cartoon. Of course this could be because it's actually a Belgian flick, or because it was originally 49 minutes and then expanded to 90 making them cram extra scenes into a fast paced film.
Either way, I liked the pace and loved the 3D.
Plus there was a space chimp in this and the voices of Kelly Ripa and Christopher Lloyd (who plays a character named Grandpa McFly... perhaps it was a Back To The Future reference.)
